  • Christian Warrior Training Is Offering A Gift, To Help Pastors, His Shepard, To Protect Their Flock He’s Provided.

Churches must take their security seriously and not dismiss unusual behavior as harmless. Situational awareness, team communication, and a plan of action can deter potential threats. Be observant, and do not hesitate to report anything out of the ordinary. Be Prepared, Ready.

Keith Graves, founder of Christian Warrior Training, created a straightforward PowerPoint presentation to address a common hurdle many churches face: convincing elders, pastors, and leadership that a dedicated safety ministry is essential.

Titled “The Importance of a Church Security Team: Protecting the Flock with Wisdom and Preparedness,” this resource lays out the realities of threats to houses of worship without exaggeration or alarmism.

This free guide will help you: Understand the biblical justification for a security ministry, rooted in passages from Nehemiah, Luke, and Proverbs. It will address common misconceptions, such as the idea that having security sends a message of fear rather than confidence.

It will help recognize that a security ministry is not just about protection—it is an act of service. And it will work towards giving your flock the freedom to worship God without fear. The Bible says, “They set a watch.”

This is not about living in fear, but about acting in faith and wisdom. Protecting the innocent is an act of love and obedience. Our hope is that this presentation serves as a valuable first step for your church.

Thank You, Keith Graves, for this Gift to churches who want to Be Prepared and Ready, Trained, To Act, or React.

  • Elisjsha Dicken, who was shopping at the mall with his girlfriend, responded immediately. From an estimated 40 to 50 yards away, he drew his concealed 9mm Glock handgun and engaged the attacker. He fired ten rounds, striking the assailant with eight of them—effectively ending the threat just 15 seconds after the shooting began.

Several Churches, Houses Of Worship, Have Had Similar Atracks, And Theur Trained Safety Team Members Have Stopped Attacks, Savinkg Lives.

In Gun Free Zones. It’s Likely Only The Criminals Have Guns, As Law Abiding Obey The Law, Don’t Carry. This Means No Help, Self Defense. If Need.

The Greenwood Park Mall shooting remains one of the most significant recent examples of an armed citizen stopping an active threat. Without any formal training, Elisjsha Dicken acted with focus, precision, responsibility, under extreme pressure.

His actions serve as a reminder to the concealed carry community of several core principles:

    • Preparedness matters—especially for unpredictable environments like public venues.
    • Training at distance is valuable, even if not always emphasized.

  • The right to keep and bear arms is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, as a Right. It is not a tool of one political party but rather is a right for all Americans, regardless of their background, income or voting history.

The Second Amendment Is a Great Equalizer

At its core, the Second Amendment is about self-preservation and the ability of individuals to defend themselves, especially when institutions fail to do so. Churches, for the safety, security, of their members, staff, and visitors, may need the ability to protect them.

    The Second Amendment Protects Everyone—Equally

The Constitution doesn’t make exceptions: “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.” Historically, gun control has been used to disarm and suppress certain groups of people. Today it can, sould be the the item to assure, insure, and Protect Rights and Freedons Our Constitution Gives. Churches, Houses Of Worship, Must Protect Their Freedom, And Rights. Be Prepared, Ready, Trained To Act.

“Gun-Free Zones” Often Attract, Not Deter, Violence

We are told that so-called “gun-free zones” are intended to promote safety and security, but, in practice, they often do the opposite. Law Abiding Citizens Obey The And Don’t Carry Their Self Defense Gun Illegally. Criminals Don’t Obey, The Only Guns?

A 2023 report by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) found that 94% of mass public shootings between 1950 and 2019 occurred in areas where civilians were banned from carrying firearms. These areas are soft targets for attackers who know law-abiding citizens are defenseless.

Real safety comes from your bring prepared, with a deterrence—not signs, bans, on a fundamental right. The Second Amendment should not be a red-versus-blue issue. It is a constitutional guarantee intended to empower and protect all Americans.

Politicizing the right to bear arms undermines its purpose and weakens our ability to have constructive conversations. Just as we don’t treat freedom of speech or the right to vote as privileges, we shouldn’t do it with self-defense. Be Prepared.

  • The shooter went to Richmond Road Baptist Church seeking the mother of his children but his domestic violence hearing did not involve her, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported, citing Rachael Barnes. She identified Gumm and Combs, 34, as her mother and sister.

A relative of the two slain women, said Guy House went to the Lexington-area church looking for one of her sisters but was told she wasn’t there.

He declared: “Well I guess someone’s going to have to die then,” and shot her mother, 72-year-old Beverly Gumm, in the chest.

Matt Ball, a deputy clerk for family court in Fayette County, confirmed to The Associated Press that House had been scheduled for the domestic violence hearing on Monday

  • What Does the Bible Say About Preparing for Violence? Thanks to Keith Graves, Christian Warrior Training, for his sharing this info.

Sadly, many churches hesitate to act because they believe preparing for violence somehow contradicts faith. Yet Scripture says otherwise on it.

.📖 Nehemiah 4:9 – “But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.” They Acted, In Order To Be Prepared.

God’s people didn’t just pray—they prepared. Nehemiah didn’t leave his people exposed. He assigned armed men to stand guard while the work of rebuilding continued. That’s the model. We trust God and we post a guard. Both are acts of obedience.

📖 Luke 22:36 – “Let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.” Jesus didn’t instruct His disciples to wage war, but He did tell them to be prepared for a hostile world. And He wasn’t speaking figuratively. He was preparing them for real danger on the road ahead.

In today’s context, the safety ministry is doing the same thing—equipping believers to stand between the sheep and the wolves. The Safety Team are the sheepdog.

We don’t get to choose the times we live in, but we do choose how we respond. Many pastors and elders don’t see the threat, don’t seem to understand that they are the shepherd, to Provide For, Protect His Flock  That He Provided Them.”

📖 Ezekiel 34:6–10 – God rebukes the shepherds of Israel for failing to protect His flock. He says His sheep were scattered and became food for wild beasts because no one searched for them. God takes shepherding seriously. When leaders ignore real threats, they place their people in danger and invite judgment.

The charge to watch over the flock isn’t just for the senior pastor—it’s for every elder, every overseer, and every man willing to stand in the gap. If you’re on the safety team, you’ve already taken up that responsibility. Don’t set it down just because others won’t carry their share. Have A Plan, Policies, Be Prepared, Trained To Be Ready. When Seconds Count, And Help Is Minutes Away,  You, Those On Scene, Are Your Own 1st Responders Now.

  • Two people have been fatally shot at a church in Kentucky after a car chase that began with a gunman shooting and injuring a police officer, officials said.

The suspect shot a state trooper during a traffic stop before car-jacking a vehicle and driving to Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, where he opened fire at parishioners, before law enforcement shot him dead.

Two women, aged 72 and 32, died in Sunday’s incident at the place of worship, and two male parishioners were injured, said police.

Investigators believe the suspect had a connection to individuals at the church. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear posted on X that “violence like this has no place in our commonwealth or country”.
